A few months ago, I sat down with Robin Kunze to chat about her Ultimate career.
Listen to the Robin Kunze Interview
Robin has been playing Ultimate consistently for 30 years! She has played on teams in Minnesota, Illinois and Virginia.
There were many enjoyable moments during our discussion. One of the more interesting aspects of the discussion, was learning what Ultimate was like in the late 80s and early 90s in Minnesota. While her college experience had similarities to mine (for example, small team sizes), there were many differences, as Ultimate was barely established and still a growing sport in Minnesota.
I also enjoyed how open Robin was during our discussion. She shared some of the lowest moments in her career. One in particular that stood out, was a game at Nationals during her single mixed season, where the naked aggression of one team caused several injuries to her teammates. I think we can all agree, that there is no place for that in Ultimate.
Robin also shared many of the amazing moments in her career. I encourage you to listen in and hear about her experience with Ultimate Frisbee!
